Stub <div class="overGrap_rx"> PAGENAME is one of the civilizations in gamename. tocright ==Background== <div class="textParagraf_rx"> The Roman Monarchy is a period of Rome's history shrouded in myth and mystery, allegedly being founded in 753 BC by Romulus, and ending in 509 BC with the rebellion against the tyranny of Tarquinius Priscus, which led to the founding of the Roman Republic. Although a Senate existed at the time, the Roman kings were effectively autocrats, elected by the people of Rome.<br><br> Roman religion was established in this period, borrowing heavily from both the Hellenic religion and primitive Italian religion, which became an essential part of the Roman government. Under the Monarchy, Rome saw its expansion from the City to the largest city-state in Latium, but it was not until the Republic that Roman expansion became particularly notable. Although Roman culture is often said to have stemmed from Greek culture, the influence of other Italian cultures such as the Etruscans and the Latins was also of great significance in this early period. However, as is the case with many aspects of the Regal Period, little is known of these peoples, but they were an important part of the formation of Rome's early identity. </div> ==Trait tree== <div class="textParagraf_rx"> </div> </div>
