Norsemen is one of the civilizations in BOCProject.
Background
The Norsemen in BOC are not the Norsemen of the early medieval period, but a much more ancient group of peoples who inhabited southern Scandinavia in the 1st and 2nd millennia BC. Although they are not known for great conquests or advanced society, an advanced civilization indeed appeared in the 2nd millennium BC in modern-day Denmark, Sweden and Norway. They established trade links with central European and Mediterranean peoples, showing the traits which the Norsemen of a later age would thrive on. The Norsemen gradually migrated south throughout the 1st millennium BC, developing into the Germanic tribes with whom they shared a common pantheon.
